Melissa has been proudly serving the Northwest Indiana community for nearly two decades. As the owner and lead stylist of Cut Up & Dye Hair Studio, she specializes in professional hair color services, while also excelling in precision cutting for women, men, and children, formal occasion styling, skincare, and makeup application.
Her dedication to excellence is reflected in her ongoing education and multiple certifications across leading professional brands. Melissa is a Certified Hair Color Expert with Joico, Paul Mitchell, and Redken, a Certified Olaplex Professional, and is also certified in hair extensions. She is color match certified in makeup and certified in airbrush and traditional makeup applications. She continually invests in advanced classes and certification programs to bring the latest techniques and highest level of care to her guests.
As the leader of our Bridal Team, Melissa finds joy in creating timeless, elegant looks that make special occasions unforgettable. Her passion for both artistry and education shines through every service she provides.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist, licensed barber, and currently work at Paul Mitchell as an instructor, sharing my love of hair with the next generation of stylists. I love doing all services, but my real passion is color transformations and short haircuts/men’s cuts. Whether you’re looking for a bold new color, a fresh haircut, or a style that truly feels like you, I’m here to make it happen. Hair has always been my thing—once my mom let me color my own hair, I was mixing Schwarzkopf box dyes like a mad scientist.
